Meet the Saddle Maker:
Dave Smith |
| |
| New Saddle: 15 in. modified
Wade, 5 in cantle, 3 in wood horn, 7/8 in plate riggin and full basket
stamp. Dave Smith is a self-taught
saddle maker. He is the son-in-law of Ron and Lorna Silvester
(co-founders of TLRM). Dave learned to make saddles out of necessity–
he needed one for his job as a pasture rider. That one saddle led to a
couple orders from family and has progressed into a part-time
business.
Each saddle is built on a ‘Rod Nikkel’ tree which is
custom hand-crafted to the customer’s specifications.
A quality saddle starts with a quality tree.
Other leather goods are available on order as well. At your
request, we will mail a brochure to you.
